Colander
Kitchen Use
A colander is primarily used in the kitchen for food preparation.
After boiling the vegetables, pour them into the colander to let the water drain out.
 Not Heat Resistant
Colanders are usually not for cooking; they can melt or get damaged with direct heat.
Don't put the colander on the hot stove; it's for draining pasta after you cook it.
 Different Materials
Colanders can be made of plastic, metal or silicone, each with different care instructions.
Use the metal colander for hot foods and the plastic one for washing fruits.
